Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the services of Butterfield Hoffman Estates Tree Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.
Services Provided
Butterfield Hoffman Estates Tree Service provides professional tree care services including tree removal, tree trimming and pruning, stump grinding and removal, emergency tree services, land and lot clearing, tree health and maintenance, arborist consulting, and shrub and hedge trimming in Hoffman Estates, IL and surrounding areas.
Estimates and Pricing
We provide free estimates for our services. All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified. Final pricing may vary from estimates if conditions differ from what was observed during the initial assessment. We will notify you of any significant price changes before proceeding with work.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made in writing. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. For larger projects, we may require a deposit before beginning work. Unpaid balances more than 30 days past due may be subject to late fees and collection proceedings.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel scheduled services with at least 24 hours notice without penalty. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. For projects where deposits have been paid, deposit refunds will be handled on a case by case basis depending on materials purchased and work completed.
Property Access and Safety
You agree to provide safe access to the work area and notify us of any known hazards on your property. This includes underground utilities, septic systems, irrigation lines, and any structures or obstacles that may affect our work. We will take reasonable precautions to protect your property, but you are responsible for moving vehicles, outdoor furniture, and other personal items from work areas.
Permits and Regulations
While we will assist with permit applications when needed, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring all necessary permits are obtained before work begins. You must also ensure that the work we perform complies with any homeowner association rules, deed restrictions, or other agreements affecting your property.
Liability and Insurance
Butterfield Hoffman Estates Tree Service carries comprehensive liability insurance and workers compensation coverage. However, our liability for property damage is limited to the amount paid for services rendered. We are not responsible for damage to underground utilities, irrigation systems, or other hidden structures not properly marked or disclosed before work begins.
Weather and Delays
We reserve the right to reschedule services due to unsafe weather conditions including high winds, lightning, ice, or heavy rain. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of weather delays and reschedule at your earliest convenience. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, Acts of God, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Warranty and Guarantees
We guarantee our workmanship and will address any issues arising from improper techniques or negligence on our part. However, we cannot guarantee tree survival or health outcomes as trees are living organisms affected by many factors beyond our control. Emergency services and storm damage response are provided as is without warranty.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these terms or our services will first be addressed through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Cook County, Illinois under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class wide arbitration.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
